Harry Manx immigrated to Ontario with his parents when he was a child and started working
with bands as a ‘roadie’ at age 15 gradually worked his way up to becoming the regular sound
man at the well-known El Mocambo (blues) club in Toronto. There he worked with a slew of
blues legends. Harry admits that blues is still at the heart of much of his work. During his formative years and thenunder a rigorous tutelage with Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in India. Bhatt is the inventor of the 20-
stringed Mohan Veena, which has become Harry’s signature instrument.
“Mysticssippi” blues man Harry Manx has been called an “essential link” between the music of
East and West, creating musical short stories that wed the tradition of the Blues with the depth
of classical Indian ragas. He has created a unique sound that is hard to forget and deliciously
addictive to listen to.

Alberta Coast Guard is comprised of two coastal transplants living in the Rocky Mountains.
Drawing inspiration from the salt-washed cedars of the Pacific Rim to the almost inhospitable
shores of Newfoundland, the duo blends emotional swells and brine-soaked humour with lofty
harmonies. The boat is moored in the Bow Valley!

Cadence Creek
Hailing from the Alberta foothills, they deliver dynamic vocals and harmonies that
touch the soul. They love to share stories through their songs. Heidi Griffith, Gloria Gregg, Tammy
Masson and Wayne Corner look forward to entertaining you through their blend of country,
folk and bluegrass music.

Ben Tizzard and Linden Conroy are a local duo with backgrounds in various genres. Both are well-rounded musicians in their own right but, when performing together, their musical relationship is seamless. Ben‘s Jazz/Folk background shines through intricate fingerpicking while Linden’s experience in Country/Blues adds soul to their sound.

Carla Jayne is an Edmonton-based singer-songwriter who uses her folk-country roots to
explore her connection to home and leaving it. Originally from Hanna, Alberta. Her debut EP earned a spot on the Edmonton Journal’s Fresh Tracks list of “The 10 must-listen albums from Edmonton artists in 2024”.

Dean Pilling is a Calgary-based solo rock artist, who has emerged as a force in the world of
rock. With two albums and a promising third release on the horizon, Dean is a
multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist who has made waves in the music industry with hi style and dedication to his craft.

This Canadian alternative pop band was formed in Calgary in 2017 by siblings when they were
only aged 9, 7 and 4 years old. Anya is the lead vocals, a singer, songwriter and multi-
instrumentalist. Keira and Enzo do the backing vocals, and are also multi instrumentalist. They have released several original songs on Spotify.

Far Side of 5
Formerly known as the Wayfaring Fiddlers, reformed with band members: Martin McSween, Brad Bilson, Andrew Bates, Dave Daly and Trevor Gough. Dave, Martin, Brad and Andrew
were part of the Wayfaring Fiddlers that had played at the East Coulee SpringFest for many
years.

Garry is a Canadian singer-songwriter, whose music is deeply rooted in rural Alberta.
Many hours spent in the fields, listening to the tractor radio lured him to the exciting new music of the early days of rock and roll. These heartfelt stories of his rural memories resonated with audiences.

Katie is an Alberta born country girl at heart playing music from a young age
led her to explore the therapeutic benefits of music which she shares now, as a professional music therapist. Katie loves to share self composed pieces, as well as songs that have moved her throughout the years.

Jim’s voice is a gin-soaked, stumble-home story from your Uncle Roy...a pale-faced Louis
Armstrong... and a story of the battle for life and dreams. Jim has always written and played
music; influences include Neil Young, the Mavericks, Texas Tornados and Johnny Winter.
“Diamonds” is a newly released CD of Jim Burke’s original music.

The Pannettones are piece acoustic vocal group that take their favourite songs and arrange
them to focus on the beauty of three-part harmony vocals with acoustic accompaniment. They
cover familiar tunes from across the decades - from rock. pop and folk as well as performing
original material.

Mad Dog Maggie with Banjo Bob and the RayJays
Bryan (Mad Dog) Kay is the lead singer and guitar player. Keyboard
player Maggie Crandlemire is a singer songwriter. Robert Smith aka Banjo Bob plays banjo and also a mean harp. Bass player Ray Ducharme is a singer songwriter. The most recent addition to the group is
Jay Stephen, a seasoned drummer.

Milkbird is the duo made up of Alex Klipper and Natalie Inga. Natalie and Alex write and
perform across genres, ranging from Folk to Bluegrass, Jazz to R&B, and even from Punk to
Indie Rock. This whimsical pair manage an almost Seussical view on life and love while paying
homage to timeless classics.

Mike Petroff is a Canmore based singer-songwriter and recording artist, who uses music to share original stories, based on memories and simple observations of life. His album, 1000 Storms, portrays his love of story-telling. Mike believes an untold story is an injustice. Life is simply three chords and the truth.

Powerful, dynamic, theatrical and dusted with glitter, Night Howl is a 6-piece festival dance
band from Edmonton, Alberta. With a heavy helping of swing and Latin, their genre-bending
music is written for the dance floor and tells fantastical tales of love, murder, and creatures of
the night.

Based in Calgary, Right Here Right Now is a collective of musicians fronted by songwriter
Cooper Robinson. As acoustic duo or full-fledged indie-rock quartet, they deftly adapt their
sound to create a vibe that is perfectly suited to the space you’re seeing them in - right here,
right now.

Started in 2017 as a duo project it has grown to the Calgary based quartet they are now. While their work on albums like The Great Unraveling has earned some Western Canadian Music Award nods and radio play, the band is most at home in intimate venues where their powerful vocals and resilient lyrics can really connect.

Travina Lynn brings a bold blend of acoustic grit and alternative countryrock to every stage
she steps onto. Her performances are packed with raw emotion, original storytelling and the
signature flash of her iconic red boots! Travina writes the kind of songs that feel livedin —
acoustic, emotional, and rooted in the quiet grit of smalltown Alberta.

This veteran five piece band focuses on those "I love that song" radio chart memories. The Barrel Dogs’ mix of fun and danceable updated classics, as well as near-classic originals, might just get you singing along or dusting off your dancing shoes!

Bring talents of Heather Jean Jordan, Irene Poole and Ji Won Baxter. Named after the iconic Alberta mountain range, the trio builds their sound on rich harmonies and instrumentation (piano, violin, ukuleles, and bass) while traversing folk, jazz, opera and original music. Their performances reach highs and lows, always carrying a light in the darkness.

Akina & the Wolf
A great cover band focusing on their amazing singer Akina, they play everything - classic
rock to country with their own unique twist on songs. The artists cover
ranges from Sheryl Crow. Carly Simon and Amy Winehouse to Tina Turner and Bill Withers.
They will definitely have you up and dancing!

Toni Vere is a prolific Calgary-based singer-songwriter and musical poet. Her music has been described as “Folk stumbling into Country” with echoes of mountains and prairies. Toni’s prairie roots have a firm hold on her music and can be heard in the five records she wrote from her heart.

Originally from Ontario , Val has been involved in music from the age of seven. A former recording artist on Tommy Banks record label (as a teenager), Val has been a session singer for many radio/TV ads, films, and band recordings. She has just released a 10-song CD of original music called "Sensible Shoes".

Will Quan is a distinctive Calgary singer-songwriter whose emotively infused sound is
influenced by traditional and contemporary folk music. His pensive songs and silky voice will
transport you and reverberate in your memory long after his live performance. Music for the
soul.

Christin Hyshka is a Canadian folk roots singer songwriter with a unique voice and music that’s filled with grit and hope. A heartfelt, honest, and fun-loving performer, his songs tell meaningful stories that mirror the experiences of his listeners lives.

The origin of alternative/indie artist Danielle Dayton’s soulful voice and songwriting savvy is atypical. The tap dancer turned singer-songwriter has a unique relationship with music, rhythm and story.

Albertan folk/roots duo Flint & Feather are passionate about cultivating community through writing and performing original music, telling stories, and sharing laughter with others, drawing upon Western Canadian history, Rocky Mountain folklore, and their own colourful life journeys for inspiration.

This Albertan duet blends sounds of country, pop, and gothic folk together through contrasting-yet-complimentary vocal timbre. The pair’s sound has been described as an intersection between First Aid Kit and The Civil Wars.

If Kacey Musgraves and Meghan Trainor had a country-soul love-child, the result would be Calgary, Canada-based country artist Mariya Stokes. Country Music Alberta’s two-time reigning Horizon Female Artist of the Year (2019 & 2020) has four single releases under her belt and is currently recording her debut EP.

River Poets is a folk-rock musical duo featuring the Johnson brothers, Jo and Cabel. They have been writing, recording and performing Canadian-inspired songs and a large catalogue of covers for the last number of years.

A trio of seasoned musicians that plays original songs along with tasty covers. Music is heart-felt, melodic, rhythmic and dynamic. Various styles make each song unique. Lyrics drawn from personal experience and Alberta landscapes convey universal themes.

The Sadlier-Brown band likes to mix original songs with obscure vintage songs to give you a creative show. The band’s music mostly ranges from the era of the 50’s and into the 60’s. All of their music is played with an infectious solid rhythm that encourages dancing. The look and style of the band is vintage. This includes clothes and instruments dating from the early time of country and rockabilly jive music.

The Wayfaring Fiddlers is a Drumheller-based group that has been playing in the area for over twenty years. Building on their roots in traditional fiddle tunes the band has developed a style all their own, encompassing blues, country folk, and even some rock influences. With the recent addition of two new members, harmonies, sometimes reaching epic proportions, are built into the music, which will lift you up and carry you to new heights of sonic bliss.

County 23 is based in Red Deer and blends bluegrass, country, and rock with a punk-rock edge,
often described as an “outlaw string band”. County 23 originated when former punk rockers
Don Pattimore and Naethon Pertelson began blending their rootsy, outlaw string sound with
their high-energy, gritty, and punk-influenced roots.

Kaeley Jade is an award-winning Métis singer/songwriter, actor, and multidisciplinary artist based in Edmonton, Alberta (amiskwaciwâskahikan).

Maple Fusion, a unique musical group from Alberta, weave a rich tapestry of Canadiana Music and History with a dynamic fusion of Folk, Country, and Celtic traditions.

An author, songwriter, and podcaster, he left his day job to pursue these other passions. His original songs range from blues to folk to rockabilly and can be sampled on his eclectic album, Let the Dogs Run Free. At ease on stage, a natural storyteller, he invites his audience into a musical world of strong characters and soulful reflections.

Tim Gareau
Tim cares deeply for his audience. Whether Tim is performing solo, with
guitar and sometimes harmonica, or surrounded by fellow musicians, it’s all
about authentic connection. Tim’s songs are strongly influenced by the folk and rock sounds of the 60s and 70s and his further love of everything from jazz, roots, country and blues.

Some people get their joy from the cash they have amassed. We find our center when we connect to others through music. That makes us Different Rich. Our influences are wide, but many seem to feel we could be called folk rock. Most of our songs are written and sung by Eamon Kelly.

Glen Brown and Headin’ West – They stick to the routes of their raisin’ and play traditional roots country music with a Texas Flare. The musicians are all extremely talented players and have been sidemen for several recording professionals on tour throughout Canada.

Redhead Mack Band hails from Calgary, Alberta and is an original rock band with diverse
musical influences. Echoing classic to modern rock legends, they are a guitar driven melodic
band citing many eclectic influences such as Ben Harper, Satriani, Alter Bridge and Baroness.

Upstanding citizens by day… Rock and Roll heroes by night! Sans the capes. Constantly changing musical gears, switching the levers from Rock to Punk… Uphill to Country … downshifting to Funk and Disco, into the home stretch with Alternative and Jazz.

The Pan is musician Pan Sciore, playing a variety of instruments from guitar, bass, keys, percussion, and vocals. Accompaniment on percussion is from Dr. Charles (Chip) Scialfa. Both Pan and Charles have been musically associated with the Alberta Liquor Birds band (currently on hiatus).

Kathy Cook, Natasha Sayer and Corry Ulan are all about backing each other up! The three songwriters take turns singing lead with the others adding sweet harmonies and tasteful instrumentation. Roots, folk, blues and rock styles blend together into a sound that is uniquely Mag Buck.

Medical Pilot is an explosive, guitar driven alternative rock band. With stellar riffs, brilliant melodies, and an engaging stage presence, Medical Pilot exemplifies the exact kind of band that you would expect to making waves across western Canada.

The Garage Band is an eclectic group of local area musicians, each with differing musical tastes, but some how we make it work by mixing them all together, stir, and voila. For a menu of mostly classic rock, with some country rock thrown in, a pinch of blues, and a sprinkle pop rock.

Winner of the 2018 YYC Music Award for "Blues Recording of the Year" for her single "Crooner Sing To Me," Carly Reirson is eager to share her music with the world. Carly released her debut EP "Fantasy" in 2016.

Hungry Hollow is a 5 piece rock band from Edmonton AB, they formed as an idea in 2011 and became a reality in 2013 when lead singer and guitar player Ian Dick, met his now wife Julie and formed a fully functioning rock band.

Natalie Inga‘s feisty Folk music features playful melodies sung over unique and colourful guitar stylings. True to the Folk genre’s rich tradition of challenging the status quo, Natalie draws from songwriting inspirations like Joni Mitchell, Ani DiFranco, and Sara Bareilles.

Night Howl is a six-piece festival dance band from Edmonton, Alberta, with a Latin and swing flair. Their music captivates audiences and fills the dance floor. Passion, groovy percussion, and haunting melody inspire the hips to move and the whiskey to flow.

Carol Todor started playing ukulele when her hubby bought her a ukulele for her 65th Birthday. It quickly became a retirement passion. She put the question out on Facebook and found there was a demand ukulele players in Drumheller. Thunderskirts were born from a pandemic bubble.

Shane is an Alberta-based Indie-Folk artist with an Americana sound. This campfire tapestry of crackling wood, wire and crooning calls is the new Albertan essential indie listening experience, featuring shadowy blue songs of prairie anxiety and mountain love.

Cathie Brown is a vocal artist and stage performer with a background in musical theatre from Drumheller. She now sings and plays pop music in a solo act.
