Cowboy Celtic

Cowboy Celtic

Cowboy Celtic
David Wilkie and Cowboy Celtic are well-known for the connection they have made between
western (traditional cowboy) music and the music of Ireland and Scotland.
The ‘Celtic and cowboy’ musical marriage on their recordings has struck a chord with music
lovers on both sides of the ocean. They explore the Celtic roots of cowboy music. Beautiful
three-part harmonies and incredible musicianship on mandolin, Celtic harp, fiddle and guitar -
both wildly rambunctious and hauntingly beautiful.
“We don’t play traditional Celtic music, and we don’t play traditional cowboy music. We play the
kind of music that you’d have heard if you pushed back the swingin’ doors at an Irish pub in
Tombstone or Dodge City.”
